Huma Finance Announces $38 M Funding Round

Huma announced last week Tuesday that it received $38 million in a fund-raising effort led by Distributed Global. Folius Ventures, Hashkey Capital, the Stellar Foundation, and Turkish private bank Isbank also participated in the VC funding round.

Per its plans for the obtained funds, the tokenized real-world assets platform says $28 million will go to yield-bearing RWAs for expanding its PayFi network globally. The remaining $10 million will go towards equity financing. Huma also intends to go live on Solana (SOL) and Stellar (XLM)’s smart contracts network in the months ahead.

Multiple Crypto VC Funding Rounds Between September 8 and 14

Last week’s crypto social media space saw at least 19 crypto VC funding rounds between September 8 and September 14. Coming behind Huma’s $38M funding round is Fuse’s (Project Zero’s) $12 million.

Fuse, a UK-based decentralized renewable energy developer, secured $12 million in a funding round led by Multicoin Capital. According to the organization, the funding aims to “accelerate global renewable energy adoption by rewarding network contributors for increase in utilisation & generation of renewable energy, as well as home electrification such as solar panels and batteries. Together, we’re driving collective action toward a future where energy is abundant, affordable, and accessible to all,” according to the official announcement on X.

PIN AI, an infrastructure company, announced that it received $10 million in pre-seed funding. The startup, which strives to develop the world’s first open-source Personal Intelligence Network (PIN), enjoyed backing from about a dozen partners.

Drip Labs, the startup behind Solana-based creator platform, DRiP, received $8 million in seed funding on September 9 to build the collectibles platform. NFX led the effort, with support from Coinbase Ventures, and Progression.

Nytro Lab (Castile), a Hong Kong-based developer, obtained $8 million in funds. The funds will likely move into Nytro Lab's inaugural blockchain game, Castile, which reached beta testing on September 10.

SevenX and OKX Ventures led Nytro Lab's VC funding round, alongside participation from Matrix (Castile's co-founder), Aptos Labs, Amber Group, HashKey, and Leland Ventures. Infinite raised $6 in a September 13 funding round towards "supporting more dApps and chains, driving growth across the ecosystem."

Moku raised $5.35 million in a funding round led by Mavis and A16Z GAMES, alongside a long list of backers like Flori Ventures’ Holly Liu, 32-Bit Ventures, Phantom’s Jason Lee, Arca, and Contango Digital Assets.
