In March, Madonna bought a Bored Apes Yacht Club NFT for 180 Ether, which at the time was about $500,000. The artist later launched three videos as NFTs under the name Mother of Creation.
This resulted from a year-long collaboration with Beeple, AKA Mike Winkleman. He’s the artist who sold his NFT for $69 million at Christie’s.
The Mother of Creation of videos showcases a digital avatar of Madonna giving birth to flowers, animals, and technology. The videos are supposed to be a symbol of hope and technology.
What’s more fascinating about the collection is that the proceed will go to charity. These include the Voice of Children Foundation, the City of Joy Foundation, and Black Mama’s Bail Out. These non-profits support women, children, those affected by the Ukraine war, survivors of violence in Congo, and incarcerated caregivers.
