It appears that the crypto industry will finally receive the desired attention it deserves. In the past, numerous crypto enthusiasts have hoped for the industry to have a say in government decisions or, at the very least, be considered during significant actions.

Well, it seems that prayers have been answered as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have been on the lips of politicians lately. Apparently, these politicians and high-ranking officials now know that a growing chunk of the population uses crypto and can only vote for those who support it.

We can see that in the case of the Argentinian presidential candidate Javier Milei, who miraculously won the primaries, even when he was predicted to fail. Everything was because he actively supported Bitcoin.

Away from all these, it seems to be in the case of GOP presidential candidate and current mayor of Miami, Francis Suarez. Apparently, this Miami Mayor for president has been gaining some consensus, and he took the opportunity to make the declaration. Although the statement is confirmed, no one knows if he would actually do this, assuming he is elected president. Nobody will know until after the elections, and he comes out the winner.

Support for Bitcoin

Francis Suarez said he is a big supporter of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. He is one of the politicians who believes cryptocurrencies should be allowed to exist freely in the society.

He thinks that crypto is a good initiative for the economy so long as there are friendly regulations to prevent scammers from taking advantage of citizens. According to the Miami Mayor presidential candidate, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are a "good hedge and a good check and balance on a monetary system that’s gotten completely out of hand and become very political."

A presidential candidate from Miami believes that cryptocurrencies are a lucrative industry that creates wealth. He emphasizes the benefits of blockchain technology, which has enabled many individuals to earn money. He also stresses the importance of promoting competition against centralized and traditional financial institutions. If elected, this candidate intends to allow Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to operate freely.

While Francis Suarez is optimistic about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, he is not the only one. In fact, there are several other presidential candidates who believe in crypto.

Presidential Candidates Supporting Bitcoin

The upcoming US presidential elections in 2024 are mainly a battle between those who support the crypto industry and those against it. Apparently, many presidential candidates are standing for the industry.

Robert Kennedy Jr., Ron DeSantis, and Vivek Ramaswamy are the top presidential candidates who have gone all out for the crypto industry. They all share the same opinion of allowing the crypto industry to operate freely in the crypto United States.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., among the vocal presidential candidates, posted on Twitter supporting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Kennedy Jr. also revealed that he gifted 14 Bitcoins to his 7 children as he believed in the crypto.

"Cryptocurrencies, led by bitcoin, and other crypto technologies are a major innovation engine. It is a mistake for the U.S. government to hobble the industry and drive innovation elsewhere. Biden’s proposed 30% tax on cryptocurrency mining is a bad idea," a part of the post said.
