Experts are anticipating a new development and surge in the value attached to the metaverse industry as Apple's headset is set to be launched in the coming weeks. The recent announcement of the release of the tech giant's highly-anticipated mixed-reality headset in the coming weeks will be the news needed to drive much activity into the metaverse sector.

Right from time, crypto tokens built on the idea of metaverse have been increasing massively in price whenever news of a new mixed reality headset is leaked. Meta led the wave but doesn't actually seem to be succeeding in this venture yet. With Apple in the field, it is expected that the news might be the fresh breath of air the sector needs to keep it running.

When it was announced that Apple might launch its highly-anticipated mixed-reality headset in January, metaverse-related tokens increased massively in price. During that time, tokens from blockchain-based metaverse projects Decentraland and Sandbox saw their price rise by a very wide margin. However, this event didn't happen after all, as it seems Apple had postponed the time to launch their reality headset.

However, there has been another buzz surrounding Apple's headset as a crypto developer announced on Twitter that the tech giant will launch their Metaverse headset very soon. An independent developer Udi Wertheimer tweeted on the 15th of May, claiming that Crypto Twitter has been silent on the upcoming launch of the Apple headset. He made these comments because the crypto community on Twitter was now basing and focusing their attention on meme coins and cryptocurrencies recommended by influencers. Incidents like these have made many crypto users disconnect from what is really happening in the crypto industry. The developer mentioned that when Apple launches its headset, the price of many crypto tokens tied to the metaverse will increase.

"CT is completely oblivious to the fact that Apple is about to launch a mixed reality headset in 3 weeks

Metaverse shitcoins are going to pump so hard it’s not even funny

But you morons keep buying influencer coins

OK," the independent developer Udi Wertheimer said on Twitter

Apple Headset Launch to Set the Industry Ablaze

During an interview with Cointelegraph.com, eToro market analyst Josh Gilbert said he believes that the new Apple headset launch will not only add to metaverse use cases but will also set the industry ablaze. He said this with full confidence because he believed that Apple has a proven record of developing high-quality products.

In his words, Gilbert said, "When Apple does it, they usually do it right." However, the market analyst said he has doubts that the launch of the headset from Apple will revive the metaverse industry. Currently, top players in the industry, such as Sandbox and Decentraland, don't have immediate plans to create their own headsets

The market analyst also believes that the success of the metaverse industry will not depend on external companies like Apple. Instead, it will rely heavily on internal companies such as MANA and Decentraland. "The bottom line is that we are still very early in the metaverse world, and their performance will rely heavily on the popularity of the Metaverse in the future," Gilbert added.
